As passing through the one pillar entrance gate, I needed to walk along the narrow road to get to the temple.
I found the piled stones by the road to the temple.
Those stones were a little bit far from the road. So I almost couldn't have noticed them.
As always, the hidden things seemed to have something mysterious power.
Piling stones was believed as a ceremony of traditional religion at any rate.
Wherever I visited old villages, there were always piling stones at the entrance of the village.
There were several interpretations on those piling stones.
Someone said that they had piled the stones for self-defense purpose.
Some other people urged that was the kind of ceremony of primitive religion.
In my view, the piled stones were close to the ceremony of traditional religion.
Next to the piled stones by the road, there was the 4 heaven kings gate.
The 4 heaven kings looked scarce as usual.
When you die, you have to pass this entrance to enter into the paradise.
At that time, those 4 heaven kings will decide to pass you into the paradise or not.
The gate was not special. But the scenery through the 4 heaven kings gate was so wonderful.
Very very lonely place...& ... Lonely post my dear lovely friend @slowwalker ... Awesome photography 📷
Thank you
@slowwalker, There are so many piled stones by the road to the temple. So many unique designs included there. Better explained about those stones. Entrance gate of Muryang-sa Temple same looking with previous temple when you introduced to us.
Yep...All Buddhists believe about Karma and when we will die we have to enter good or worst world. So doing good work currently better for after our death. Those kings had scary looks. After look final image I think inside the Muryang-sa Temple so impressive. Totally perfect photo clicks with description. Thanks.
Thank you for your comment
An interesting post, @slowwalker.
I'm familiar with piled stones.
Here, in Canada, the Inuit people stack stones in such a way as to resemble a human figure.
These piled stones represent a a landmark or a commemorative sign.
It's intriguing the way patterns repeat throughout the world among people who are separated by vast distances and have no means of communication.
Perhaps, this is the best evidence of the commonality of all humanity.
Have a good day, my friend.
Actually the Inuit believed to have a same historical background with Siberia in prehistoric age.
Thank you for comment

The scenery does look amazing through the 4 heaven kings gate.
Can you walk through this gate?
Of course. I always walk through that gate
Maybe if it was for a ceremony but it is amazing how it has kept those stones for a long time!
has many beautiful colors, sorry to tell you this @slowwalker , maybe it's not my problem but you had some problem with the camera? or the kings were tall, because the picture is a bit blurry.
the doors of heaven? It is very nice the place that is after the door, I think there is a small flashlight
Inside was dark, so I missed the focus
Oh ok , @slowwalker I hope nothing has happened to you!
they are good photos
I always enjoy them!

What a mystic place! I have been a long time ago in Thailand and visited also places like this one.
I love such quiet and inspiring places. It was always great to look for a quiet place and to think a little about life.
Thanx
Nice look, all this look by looking at these images. Looking at these images, it looks as if this temple is set in a fairly tranquil stream.
The second photo inspired me. A wonderful forest view, calming and delightful. ;)
Greetings
Just great work as always...(you might be interersted in my recent market calls..said sell the Dow jones two day before the big decline..and NBOW see the very, very bullish news on the metals..thank you.
That post with interesting piling stones made me think about the legend in Central Asia, when Tamirlane, was a Turco-Mongol conqueror with his army went to fight enemy, she asked every soldier to take a stone and pile them up, so it was a big hill. After the battle when the army came back every survived soldier had to collect one stone from the pile and it was obvious that still quite many stones left behind.
Beautiful pictures, I like those close capture of 4 heaven kings and impressive view through the 4 heaven kings gate :)
Like the trees with the intense green color. What do you think about temples in Bali, do you find them to be equally beautiful?
Jungle!!!
Beautiful scenery with a lot of bright green trees by the road to the temple and in the temple as well.
It’s great that you found the piling stones. They are all wonderful with various styles. It’s good to know the mystery of the piling stones as well.
The heaven kings gate is amazing. In the meantime, if I die, they would scare me while I pass them.
The gate as well as the inside building have magnificent architectures.
Thanks so much for sharing. ;)
