Instead of being offered for sale in the traditional way, American couples Dave and Susan Smith are offering their resort, Casa Cayuco Eco Adventure Lodge, located in Bocas del Toro, Panama, for sale through a draw that costs only $10 per ticket.
The couple who are 35 and 33 year olds spent five years respectively in the processing of the Casa Cayuco Eco Adventure Lodge, turning it into a prosperous haven voted in the top five places in Panama and Central America.
The lucky winner of the 24-bed resort will be the owner of four independent cabins, a main lodge, two lodge suites and a luxurious air-conditioned suite.
Casa Cayuco comes with a private jetty and a sun-covered sun terrace, plus everything you need to run a business, including a commercial kitchen, communications tower and three boats. Kayak, diving equipment, fishing and kayaking are all ready for the new owner and his guests.
The company also offers the competition "WinThisLife" $ 50,000 to welcome the new owners, and all those who wish to participate can buy one or more tickets to enter the draw.
The couple first arrived in 2013 with just seven bags after deciding to leave their jobs, selling their home near Detroit, Michigan, and buying the resort, which has become a haven for couples and seekers of tranquility.
The couple uses 14 indigenous people from the local village, to help with everything from cooking and fishing trips to the park, and the maintenance of the resort itself, Dave says that this workforce is his family.
