Exploring Siem Reap
It was this Saturday morning, when I boarded a flight to Siem Reap. I finally made it after being in Cambodia for work 3 times already... You might imagine how much I was looking forward to seeing Siem Reap and especially the world famous Temples of Angkor Wat.
It took me only about 45min to get from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. The airport there being pretty small we've been allowed to walk directly from the plane to the Terminal. (By the way, yes it was one of those old propeller airplanes 😀)
Having arrived at the Hotel the first thing to do was getting out onto the Streets of Siem Reap, checking out the local markets, enjoying a fruit shake, taking a TukTuk Tour through the city and discovering the locations within the Party Hotspot "Pub Street". It was the perfect afternoon to spend some hours outside simply enjoying life.
Visiting Angkor Wat
After a great day and long night on Pub Street we've got up early in order to get to Angkor Wat. Our local guide picked us up at around 7 and took us directly into the amazing Temples just a few minutes later.
This place is really an amazing site and definitely worth a visit while being in Cambodia. Oh damn, it's simply a must see!
I enjoyed every single minute that we've stayed there. Despite having similar shapes, all temples and each corner of Angkor Wat had to offer something else unique to see 😀
But let the pictures speak for themselves. Words simply can't describe the unique beauty of this place.
