We use the public transport almost every time when we travel in Sri Lanka, Very convenient, cheap and well organised. A bit crowded sometimes but that's part of the fun right! Do you use public transport when traveling or are you more a taxi person?
Yeah you should! There are some great wildlife parks as well in Sri Lanka. Udawalawe is by experience the closests to an African wildlife park (they say, can't compare since I've never been to Afica).
