Built in 1898 during the Klondike (Alaska) Gold Rush, the White Pass & Yukon train is a marvel of engineering. This route was used to transport gold to the Dawson City from port in Skagway, Alaska.
The Klondike Gold Rush was a migration by about 100,000 prospectors to the Klondike region of Yukon in Northern Canada between 1896 and 1899.

Alaska!
Jack London, Dawson, the gold rush ... I read.
A nice place.
What a colorful place. Even the train if colorful. Everything appears to be well restored.
This train is awesome but not worth the price. About $100 dollars for a 2 hours roundtrip to Canada
That's pretty steep.
Beautiful scenery
Thank you
Something about old trains in forests just gets me :)
I rode the White Pass Railway while in Alaska on a cruise. Gorgeous scenery. Hoping to tour the interior sometime soon
Oh Alaska! Someday I will see you with my own eyes. For now I will settle for gorgeous pics like these. Thanks for sharing!
