It's Legos, It's Rides, It's Trick or Treating all in one... EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!
Legoland Florida is one of our favorite theme parks to visit and we drive up there several times a year since we have the annual passes. It's definitively an affordable theme park (with $99 annual passes) so we take advantage of the different event weekends they have throughout the year. Brick or Treat was the one event we always seem to miss, but we got out chance this year and drove up for the day last Saturday.
Welcome to Legoland Florida.
All throughout the park they had Halloween themed decorations and over-sized Lego pieces to add to the fun of the event. Just past the main entrance there was a setup of Giant Lego Pumpkins that would light up to songs and voice for shows towards the evening time. During the day it made for a great photo-op with the kids.
One of the cool things that Legoland often does to go along with any multi-day themed event the have is to setup an interactive Lego build that the kids can participate in. Since Brick or Treat carries across several weekends in October they had a huge Halloween Lego build where everyone could request a numbered square and build that section to be added to the collective wall. By the time we left a lot more was filled in, but still about 30% was still open for the next day of visitors to finish it.
Later in the afternoon the Brick or Treat trail opened up for the kids to walk along a Halloween themed path of little houses to trick-or-treat for snacks and candy. They had this very well organized and handed out bags for the kids to use to collect their treats. This along with the other live music events going on through the day and evening was free with park admission.
Bag is Full = Kids are Happy = Parents are Happy
For those who may not be familiar with Legoland, throughout the park you will find incredible builds of Lego Characters from movies and animals themed to the rides they are next too. Most will have signs telling about the character and many times how many Lego bricks it took to build them.
The most recent addition to the Florida park is the Legoland Hotel. We spend about an hour at the hotel before we leave every time we visit the park. Inside there are large pits full of Lego bricks where the kids can spend time playing together and building whatever they want. It is really cool in there - for sure!
Now, while the Legoland theme park is very affordable... the Hotel... not so much. You can buy 3 annual passes and stay the night at the Holiday Inn Express down the street (what we usually do) for the cost of 1 night in the Legoland Hotel. Yeah the rooms are 100% Lego-themed, but we're not Rockafeller's - yet.

Looks like you had fun at Legoland. Good pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks :-) Yeah it was a great time - a safe place for the kids to spend Halloween.
You are welcome.
Honestly, I cannot believe that my husband and I haven't been to Legoland yet. He's a fanatic and I'm a fan. I'm definitely going to look into the annual pass. It will give us an excuse to get away. And maybe one day we can actually meet up too! Wouldn't that be neat!
That would be awesome :-) It's a fun place, all entry level coasters so it's good for kids and parents. The most intense ride is actually in the "girl" part of the park - gives me vertigo - its insane. LOL
The next time we will be up there will probably be mid-March.
Definitely touch base with me. Wouldn't it be fun to have an informal Steemit meetup?
Sure would - I will keep in touch for when we go.
I spent my childhood playing Lego and after taking look at your photos I want to come back to this habit and also to visit some Legoland :) Amazing place and photos. Great job! Upvoted and started to follow you :)
Yeah it's a fun place. I was super into Legos growing up as well and now my son is into them so it gives me a reason to play again ;-)
And everything runs in the family ;)

Thank you! That is great to hear, I appreciate it.
This looks like a pretty fun event!
Yes, it is a really nice event they put together for the kids. A safe place to have Halloween for them.
There are some amazing creations here. I wonder how long it takes to create some of the more intricate piece. I wish this type of place was around when I was a kid. Looks like your family had a great time
This certainly seems a cool place to spend weekends. And really the annual pass is dirt cheap!!
Yeah - that might be the "Florida Resident" price. All the theme parks in Florida give discounts to people living in Florida to pull us into an annual pass. :-)

This sure looks exciting. Did you do most of the setup
Thank you. No, the Lego builds are by the professional builders at the park.
