You had a real adventure there and it's a relief you are still with us :) I do think people are too quick to reach for their phone to take a picture these days. Some put themselves in danger, but they could also be helping those in trouble. Everyone seems to want that special picture to show off online, but some have fallen off cliffs trying to get a cool selfie. It's not worth anyone dying for.

He had a camera .. there were no cell phones back then thank goodness, plus no internet out there. Well, I don't think the internet existed yet. Now it is a problem. Thank Goodness it was back then or I am sure it would have made it to the internet .. how embarrassing. Also, many people lost their film because the rainforest water gets in everything. I hope that happened to him.
People take so many more pictures these days. Back then photos would just be seen by friends and family. Mind you, a lot of the pics I take are to use on my blog here.
I agree. I am using my phone all the time to take photos for the blog.
The photos would be lost so on the other hand I am grateful for the ease photos can be taken.
