City resort Borjomi, which is famous for its curative mineral springs. Not in vain this place was chosen by the royal family of the Romanovs for the location of the summer residence in Likani. It is still called the Likan Palace. The Palace houses unique royal exhibits, but unfortunately, it is closed to visitors.
The first thing is to go to Borjomi Park with its famous gazebo, which is depicted on bottles of Borjomi mineral water. Just here and the source is located. The water is not at all the same as the one that we buy in stores, it has a specific sulfuric smell and taste and is not stored for long in a bottle.
The arch covers an area of 85,000 hectares and is considered one of the largest in Europe. There are paths, places for camping, picnics, places for campfires, lodges for overnight. The park is beautiful with its waterfalls, bubbling rivers, colorful colors of autumn trees.
Walking in the park, we decided to go up the hill. There is a cable car, but we went by car. There are also hiking trails, and guides offer their excursions. Not far from the park there is an information center, there you can rent bicycles, horseback riding and tent rental.
Before we left, we decided to have lunch. Do not recommend dining in a cafe at the entrance to the park, with us there was not a pleasant event, Zhenya ordered lamb in a pot and later poisoned. So, be careful and take care.
Well, here we are at the top, the view of the valley opens completely stunning.
Another place that can not be missed is the terms in Borjomi they are located in the park in the open air in the middle of the forest and mountains, where we swam.
Summarizing, I want to say that to visit Borjomi, being in Georgia, is definitely worth it.

Thanks!
That looks beautiful. I take it the big structure in the second photo is the palace? I wonder why it's closed to visitors. That would make an excellent museum. Sorry to hear about the food poisoning! That's no fun!
