By train through Europe - 26th August - Interlaken

in #travel6 years ago

Bern had already been fully explored, and our host discouraged us from using our interrail ticket for a short trip to Zurich. Instead, he told us to visit Interlaken, a city with a name that basically means “between lakes”.

So to Interlaken we went, first walking to the lake in the west. It was a pretty lake, with a lot of birds and nature around.

After we realized that walking around the lake wasn’t an option, we walked back into the city and then to the other lake, in the east.

In total, we walked 25 km that day, with only tiny breaks. That earned us an (overly expensive) cheese fondue in the evening, after returning to Bern.

Sort:

Oh I know, mountains and rivers etc.

BUT DUCKS! AND A CAT!

The one bird might not be a duck but it doesn't matter.

Always need the ducks and cats :P

I must say, with everyone's VP reset and all that RC troube, I think I'll delay last next few posts...
