Hawaii had some great hikes. I loved (hated at the time) the koko head crater hike. We had terrible timing and climbed in the middle of the day when the temperature was super hot. But it was definitely worth it for the view when we got to the top.

That definitely sounds dangerous. Couldn't imagine hiking Kokohead crater while raining. I heard of a hike called stairway to heaven but it was banned due to being too dangerous. I love the view from the top though, so worth it once you actually make it
