What I love most about traveling is the fact that it totally broadens one's horizon.
The trip I'm currently on has taught me a lot about money.
If you scroll down my steemit blog you'll definitely find statements there like "money is not important", "the best things in life are free", etc.
Now I know: money only matters if you don't have enough of it.

Broadening Horizons
I've never burned so much money in such short period of time like I'm doing on my current vocational trip.
At places like New York (where I was last week) and Las Vegas (where I'm right now), only breathing seems to be free.
What really touched me in New York are the huge social differences.
Beggars and bankers. Fancy New Yorkers in their perfect suits running towards their air conditioned offices with a view close to homeless people asking for a dime.
I'll never forget these weird impressions.
My daily Caffe Latte at Starbucks is five times more expensive than the coffee I usually have at my local bar at home.
Five times!
How is it even possible to maintain a whole life at this standard?
Is the average salary of a regular citizen also five times higher than mine? Can't believe that.
Since I'm partly traveling alone I've got plenty of time to think about my experiences.
That money thing really kept me busy.
For the very first time since I moved to Canary Islands I believe that money is important after all.
Yes, waves are for free. At home I'm fully fulfilled with little pleasures.
However, going on adventure requires certain monetary power.
Money buys you freedom.
The more money you have, the more comfortable you are able to travel.
Time is expensive.
Especially when it is limited like on vacation. Every minute is valuable and should be wisely spent.
So why take the subway when I can get faster to my destination by cab? Why get myself dressed, walk down to the casino, stand in line for a table at a restaurant when I can use the hotel room service?
Money makes us lazy in the most appreciable sense.
Tomorrow I'll play poker at the casino where I'm staying right now.
Yip, that's going to be another expensive day 😄
Compared to slot machines, at the poker table I'll have at least a small chance to win.
However, it's more about the kick, the stress and the adrenaline than actually about increasing my vacational budget.
Yes, I'll definitely wear a hoodie and sun glasses. Classic, haha!
If I burned even more money then it should be at least with style 😎
I've never appreciated having money. Now I do.
They say that you go on adventure and then get back home to find yourself there.
I believe you rather find yourself along the way.

If you were self sufficient you would not meed so much money to be happy. Farmers in the past had all the food they needed and did not have to rely so much on money. A full stomach is must for happinees.

We are here because @Steemit steemit gave us the chance onlike facebook to have a better shot at making money while we do what we admire (or even love ..you for example). Wish you more fun , be careful with the poker (do not play all your steem power), be safe and happy.

Can't believe you're in my stomping grounds! Things are CRAZY expensive there...but best of luck at the poker tables :) Excalibur has some great games with some really weak players, although their poker room is pretty old/ depressing. Caesars is a nice of combo of good ambiance plus good game selection with some profitable games depending on who you're seated with. Hope you run good ;)

I went to the casino with my wife, thought it might be fun to play the slots, depositing silver coins pulling the lever the clink clink clink of coins falling out, but there was no putting coins in the machine they wanted my credit card there was no lever to pull only a button to push there was no clink clink of coins falling out only a printed receipt. I was disappointed and frankly bored I spent the rest of the day reading a book in the lounge. Oh yeah and the reading was free.
Hahaha! I've never understood people that find pleasure in playing at slot machines to be honest. I consider it rather being kind of an amusement to watch them... In the casino there are so many crazy people. If you just sit down and look, it's like cinema without needing a ticket to enter 😄✌️ (That's what I did today after my poker session because I needed some passive lean back stuff...)

As a poker player Vegas is one of those places which are high on my bucket list.
Well in a town which is buil just to pull out the money out of your pocket money becomes pretty important.
But it just stays a tool.

Those who say money does not matter are normally the people with lots of money. Its so true that money buys freedom and that's why I call my retirement plan my freedom fund instead. Its my goal to achieve that freedom and live life to its fullest and enjoy it.
Get the money baby. Grind for it. Make that money work for you so you can be also free in the future. Make lots of money. Get yours and then spread it around and make other people happy. It is yur duty to become rich and make a lot of money. Remember, the crowd is waiting for you to help them and impact their lives in some way. Share the wealth, baby.
To be fair you are visiting some of the most expensive places, 5x more for a Starbucks is pretty crazy though!
Enjoy the rest of your trip of a lifetime, you'll need the waves to wash the dirty money off ya when you get home.

Weldon for reporting all the way from vegas, your right money is very important in life because it will give you a certing degree of freedom and respect. Money will give you the opportunity to make a choice and not somebody dectating for you. But some people have money but they don't have joy, while some don't have much money but they have plenty of joy. It is good to have money and take out time to enjoy it as your doing in vegas now because life has no duplicate. Well, Money certainly buys you happiness and joy. I could relate to you because I have been to many exotic places and sometimes I spent more than I should have. But still I have never been to Vegas. It's like a dream destination for me. That exotic night life and all had my attention for a long time.

Vegas is that city on earth, if you have money you are the king. If you dont have its a nightmare, money rulez that place more than any other city of the world. Well i went broke there :D, than found 100$ by mistakenly getting out the wrong floor in my hotel from the elevator. What happens in vegas stays in vegas, even the money 💰💰💰
