Leaving for China tomorrow

in #travel7 years ago

Trip will start soon. Done with packing. Trying to stay up late so hopefully can sleep in the plane. Haven't been back there for almost a year. Really miss all my families and friends. Look forward to seeing them in person soon.

Due to work reason, I get the opportunity to travel to Asia every year. I came from China and thus it's always where I long for. This time will be different as I am bringing my husband with me. This is his first trip to Asia. He's excited but also nervous. He doesn't speak any Manderin and has never been to China before. Communication could be tricky. He used some translation app before when when brother was in town. As my brother doesn't speak English, they tried to use translation app to communicate. Overall the app did ok. But there were few ocasions when my husband had to forward me the message and asked if it was really what my brother meant. Pretty funny. But at least something to help them understand each other.

My husband will meet with my families in this trip. None of them can speak English. A little bit nervous. But I believe our common body language and their open heart will help to cross the language hurdle. My husband is a Steemian too. He plans to record the whole trip and share with the community. Would be interested to see what my home country is in his lens after this trip. China is so much different than USA. Culture, people, history, construction, food, etc. It would be a lot for him to take. But I bet he will love it there. My friends and families will welcome him with their open heart. Can't wait to show my country, people and culture to him. Let the trip begin soon.
