No words can describe this day! Hiking, wild animals and amazing people by my side.
I meet wild penguins for the first time in min life! They also wanted to get a tan apparently, so they joined my beach day.
We went hiking in the Cape Point area today. You can’t go to South Africa without paying a visit to that insanely gorgeous place. It’s where the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean meet! At the parking lot w eg it harassed by a group of local baboons. They were very aggressive and straight up rude!
Just cleaning the car?
I met this little fella by the trail, but I’ve got no clue what kind of animal he is... Cute, but he’s probably like an oversized rat!
We also saw a buck of some kind, tons of birds, ostriches and a funny looking animal that looked like a lemur. I met all these new friends on our hike. And if You don’t believe me when I say this place is gorgeous:
I’ll show you guys pictures from this hike, but first - I’m going out for a sushi dinner!
Thanks for reading.
Susanne
OMG, beach is my weakness. I can't just bear if someone is having fun and I cna't be there because the closest beach I have close to my home is 1000 km away and I only have been once so you can have an idea.
By the way, the scene is very good and looks like you had great time there.
Wow amazing photos :)
Hi @susanne, I can't wait to get the full gist of your trip and pictures. I dropped you a recipe on my blog, u might want to check it out

Amazing views and animals. Wild penguins seem to be so cute. Are they friendly? Have a nice sushi dinner
Very happy to see wild pingguin directly especially with people close to want to see but where I do not have pingguin
You must pay a visit to Uganda, we have the oldest baboon in the world (he's over 54 years ) kept at the Uganda Wildlife Authority Entebbe just near the largest lake in Africa. Hope to see you in my mother land. If you love tourism, Uganda might be one of the finest destinations in Africa!
Wow, I never knew that there were penguins in South Africa.
So lucky! I want to travel to South Africa so bad! Cape Point is also on my list 🤩
OMG @susanne! Those penguins are so cute 😳
Seriously I think this is most genuine and lovely post I've seen on Steemit yet. You've also made me want to pack up my things right now and go to Cape Town :D
I'll be following you closely since I've felt in love with your content!
Keep rocking! 🤘

Wow.
That is some kind of adventure for a day with some memories for a lifetime and your trip is far from over LOL.
About 80 mins SW of my house ( I am east of Toronto) -- there is a place called African Wild Safari and you pay to get into the park and you drive thru and some of these guys climb all over your car and visit you up close.
Some of them rip antennas and wipers off too.
(:
Great shots, that is about as close as you can get, it is amazing.
Good for you.
Beautifully captured different places @susanne. Africa is endowed with an varied array of wild animals. For each ecological setting therein, there are wild animals to match, and habitats within which to sustain them. Some of these wild animals are classified as "endangered", while others are more populous, and, therefore, of "least concern". No matter the sizes of their respective populations, they each contribute to the biodiversity balance within and across their respective African territories.
Just following you to see more pictures.
Så sinnsykt kult! skulle ønske jeg kunne opplevd det der :D
Thank you @susanne. Great pics. As a South African this post warms my heart!
Hey, those little guys look friendly! I have to admit, I didn't know they had penguins in SA, so thanks for sharing your hike with us.
That blue sky though....still making me super jealous!! Haha
The penguins are my favorite. Looked like it was a fun and adventurous day!
So you basically went hiking in a mix between paradise and a wildlife park. That's really cool!! Thank you very much for inviting us to your journey! :)
I just love traveling around the world with your Steemians :)
It's very inspiring to read your post and watch your photos! :)
Makes me feel like: Why the heck am I still sitting in cold and windy Northern Germany? :D
At least the beach is only 6 km away from my home. That's truly a gift :)
I hope you enjoy your time and the sushi dinner was extra yummy :)
Looks realy amazing, Enjoy , thank you for sharing😀👍🏻
Would love to have an adventure like that! Have plenty of fun and keep sharing! All the best! :D

How cool! The penguins are adorable! But I don't know about baboons on the car, I am quite scared of them lol.

I forgot there a penguins there. That Baboon is kind of scary. I bet there are a lot of Great White Sharks in the water too!
wow! wild penguins! that would made my day as well :D
Love it! It would be crazy to see a monkey in the wild!
It looks like you had an awesome, i was able to feel the journey by this post and pictures. Thanks for sharing. And one thingh yes that baboon looks rude in the picture as well. The view is awesome in the first picture you taking a selfie with the penguins. Had a great time reading this post.
excellent post, I loved it! You have my vote, greetings from Venezuela
These are really great, I love encountering animals in their natural habitat.
ive seen a documentary about those baboons . you gotta be careful around them they could rip you apart if they were given the chance
Look at the penguins, they are so cute. The way they walk just unique. By the way i love the last photo.
amazing one of the things i have on my bucketlist :)
Wow, what a breathtaking view! I am definitely going to add South Africa to places I want to visit! And that baboon does look like a harasser! Did the kind penguins tell him off? :D
I hope you enjoyed your sushi!
I am suddenly reminded of Benedict Cumberbatch not being able to pronounce "Penguins" :P
Really cute pictures! The water looks so pristine <3
These pictures are amazing! I wish I was there too, never saw a penguin. Last year, I applied for a volunteering project in South Africa, but unfortunately I didn't have the money to participate, how ironical is that?! but maybe thanks to Steemit and cryptocurrency I can't change this!
I wish a great stay and I am looking forward for more amazing pictures! cheers @susanne
phenomenal pictures!
these animals are beautiful :)
Thanks for this inspiration. Can't wait to join at some point! ;)
Get off my Mercedes! The cheek of some beings eh :)
Is it just me or do the penguins look totally out of place on sand and not ice?
Thats a really sweet view from the hike, aloe vera and white sand below. ahhh.
Safe travels :)
By far the most beautiful place!
Oh the penguins are soo cute 😍 Glad you went to see them 🙌🏼
I think u are one of animal fans, is that right? 😂
Wow so cool. You are really making me want to head down to the bottom of Africa
