This is the most South Western point of Africa. It honestly feels like the end of the world. I’ve never seen nature that’s as dramatic as my personality...
Obviously that was a joke, I’m not dramatic at all... 😂 But the scenery that met me at Cape Point, inTable Mountain National park, was just something else.
I never travel anywhere without my Steemit hat. It’s now retro because of the new logo, but I don’t care. I use it for sun protection and recruiting purposes!
No hike is complete without a shameless selfie.
The ocean AKA my life. Earlier on this one-month-trip to Africa I spent six hours in the ocean without a break. Obsessed much?
Don’t judge, I like to float around.
Spot the Steemit hat.
The Atlantic Ocean on the left side, and the Indian Ocean. I think. Wowza!
Clinging onto New York, as I usually do. For no reason at all. I get weird when people are watching me as someone takes my picture. Know the feeling?
Not a selfie or an awkward picture of me, but still a nice shot:
Breath taking view. Because of the nature, but also because of the strong wind.
And this is me by the car, after the hike.
JK! It’s an extremely aggressive baboon. He attacked a child we brought on the hike. As she was the same size as him, he saw her as someone he could fight. The kid is probably traumatized for life and not very likely to enjoy meeting gorillas, baboons or monkeys in the foreseeable future. :/
If you visit South Africa, I recommend hiking in this area, but make sure to bring water, sunscreen and a hat. It gets boiling hot and the sun is straight above you - all the time. And please, wear appropriate shoes. I met some tourists that were hiking in flip flops.
Well, I’ll be home in Norway in a couple of days.
Where there are no cockroaches, no agressive baboons at the parking lots and lots of snow.
Gotta love the contrasts of life.
Susanne
Love it! Have a safe flight back to Norway :)
Thank you for beautiful pics of the Cape. You engage me with your enjoyment of the places you visit.
Oh wow... monkeys are indeed no joke. They can be pretty aggressive. Hope the little girl is fine. Beautiful part of the world though!

I'm from Nigeria... But the farthest I've been from Nigeria is Ghana (😔 and that's still far from South Africa)
When I finally visit, I'll flood this space with my tales and pictures.
P.S If you ever come to Nigeria, ☺ we might just meet
You really do love travelling.

Beautiful ocean. Such a deep, dark blue...
wow! this was such a cool read:) those landscapes are absolutely stunning! I'm huge into backpacking and hiking. My dad and I have been going for years but nothing out there. we typically go upstate New York/canada areas which have some beautiful lush terrain but this is just totally different and cool! id love to make it out that way. thank you for sharing. I'm following you now ! I look forward to seeing more posts!
Great post! love those beaches! be carefull with those baboons.
Thanks for the upvote and stopping by at my post
I'm Portuguese so I loved the post.
We named that Cape! Cape of Good Hope was the name we gave it when we were the first ones to cross it on our way to India. Before it was known as the Adamastor, because it would sink all of the boats.
Adamastor was a sea-monster, because the cape looked like a giant with his mouth open swallowing ships.
Hello, @sussane!
I love your Steemit hat. You are so cute with it :)
I miss the sun and the beach, in my country is snowing for 3 days.
All the best for you!
Amazing shots!
where can i get this steemit hat ?
Stunning shots! That sign is super cool.
Nice. One day I might sail around there ; but have a few miles to do first. Looks quite calm for the cape!
