Do you travel with your regular wallet with all your cards and money in it? Do you have to bring a lot of cash somewhere?
Here's some advice for handling money while traveling.
Leave your regular wallet at home. Bring only what you need for your trip. Maybe drivers lisence, a credit card and a debit card.
When you arrive at your destination, get some cash from an ATM. At least enough cash to get a taxi to the city or next ATM.
Me in Kenya, with cash in my hat! (Just kidding.)
I recommend traveling with more than one bank card. But make sure to bring one when you go out and leave one in your suitcase or somewhere safe.
If you have to carry cash, divide the cash and leave some of it in a wallet, some of it on a pocket and the rest in your backpack. That way you are less likely to lose all of it.
In the end of every night, you should make sure that you still have your credit card or other cards. Make sure to call your bank ASAP if one is missing.
Going on a long trip to somewhere far away? Let your bank know that you are traveling!
What is your best advice on handling money abroad?

I really like using one of these, actually a smaller one. And if I am some where colder, I can conceal it with my jacket.
That's a great idea :)
Great tips! I always stress about keeping my money's safe when I travel, hehe! Will use some of your suggestions next time :)
Thank you :)
Great tips! Another tip is to never exchange money or get money out of an ATM on the airport :)
Well, some places you have to. Like when I went to Jamacia where a lot of places didn't accept card and a lot of ATMs were not working. :)
that is true, but i was only giving a general advice ;). I also went to cuba , and i know how difficult it can be to find an atm.
I know. It's a good advice too. If you can avoid cash, do it! :) Cuba sounds nice, I've never been. What did you do there?
I traveled from Varadero to Havana and Vinales in 3 weeks ...my time there was way too short. It is a beautiful island with lovely people. A big recommendation!
traveling is very fun .. and it looks like you are very happy.
