Travel With Susanne - A Photo Story From The Road Through 10 American States

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

I've been to 10 states during my ongoing trip in the US, and I've probably spent more time in a car this month, than I've done the last three years in total. My back hurts!

I've been flying within the country too, but most of my trips has been in a car. Here are som pictures from the road for you guys. America is a huge ass country, but it's really beautiful.

Do you enjoy driving? And what is the longest drive you've done?
Mine was from Chicago to Bangor, zzz..

Tomorrow morning I'm driving 11 hours from Maine to New York. And on June 30.th I'll fly back to Norway. USA, it's been a pleasure to get to know you!

BONUS:

Can you believe that this furball has joined me for almost the entire trip?

Tom is so well behaved and patient. We have (w)o(o)f)course stopped a lot to give him air, food and water. And he sleeps a lot in the car. But I'm so impressed with him.

Beautiful pics! I really want to travel the US. Especially, I want to visit Louisiana because of the creole food, seafood and bayou. Have you got any favourite State:)?

Great photos! I drove from northern Ohio to South Florida in the middle of winter once. My best piece of advice, go through Kentucky and not West Virginia in the winter. Slippery roads and fast semis on the edge of cliffs don't go well together.

Very specific advice about winter driving given in the middle of the summer haha ;-) But as an Ohioan I can concur that Kentucky is a safer bet in the winter.

You had me lost in the roads eight he first picture , absolutely love the view

It was pretty! Thank you ;)

really really great pictures.you captured nature at its best in the first photo.

Thank you! :) That is nice to hear.

wow, really really nice photo. love the first photo :)

Thats the best. . Warming technique for Donut Bliss ive ever encountered

@susanne keep steemin it up and living that peaceful Life <3

Bah!! This is incredible!! Why did you do that... leaves house for donuts

I haven't done a huge drive but I did take a 48 hour bus ride rom Peru to Santiago Chile, there was 60 inches of snow coming in which really slowed us down. Thanks for sharing these great pics.

Sounds like a rough ride :( Peru is one the list of countries I really want to visit.

Nice photos, Would like to travle to the States once.
My longest tripp in car are to Poland from Bergen.

Ser fremm til flere fine bilder :D

It's so cool, you should get over here.

Yess defently.
Just sold a rare Nissan GTI-R to Houston in Texas. And he would me to came over, so i think i need to go over there, and do a post from my old car.

That first picture looks amazing. I love it!

Wait a minute, did you come to Canada? And didn't visit me? 😧
Is that a Tim Horton's doughnut?

That's a Dunkin, but I've had Horton's too! ha ha ha... Next time!

I'm pretty sure I recognize Sedona, AZ and Vegas!

Yep! You are absolutely right! :)

Great post. Few things make me feel freer than hitting the road for a long road trip. Great music is a must. Have fun!

I love being on the road. Beautiful pictures @susanne! Never been in the States but it seems a pretty place to travel through! Longest drive was around 20 hours. Going from Belgium to Spain!

Makes me homesick a bit... and if it wasn't for the fact that I'm enjoying being in your country so much I would probably go! haha glad you've had a great time!!

We just did the same thing! 10 states in 6 weeks and drove 8500 miles!

The states are hugeee, but truly amazing, such a beautiful nature :)

The longest drive I've done was around 12 hours. Straight. My brother drove from Washington State to Indiana. In 2 days, basically non stop driving.
What has been your favorite place so far?
Ps, that doughnut looks incredible haha.

Steady soul I like the photos and I if any money want explore indonesia

Wow must have been an incredible experience. Had you ever been to the states before this visit? I haven't even seen that much of it, and I'm just on the other side of the border in Canada lol. What an amazing pup too!
