If you would like to see famous ancient places and wonderful architectures of buildings in Thailand in one day, you would have to visit Muang Boran, in Samutprakarn province, which is not far away from Bangkok. (approx.. 1 – 1.5 hours)
Muang means city
Boran means ancient
Muang Boran means ancient city.
The area is very large, approx. 800 rai or 800,000 square meters, covering with green trees and beautiful flowers. There are small lakes, ponds and rivers. It’s really relaxing scenery and the atmosphere is very nice indeed.
In Ancient City, you will see many beautiful ancient temples, pagodas, stupas, shrines, sculptures, traditional Thai houses, etc.
There is a tram driving you to see the places, but it's a fixed timing and it stops only four places where there are only highlight buildings. Or you may hire golf car with an extra charge. For me, I went around by bicycle (free of charge) because I can stop at any places that I like. Besides, it’s very fun and I had really good exercises.
Here below is the bicycle that I ride.
I was there approx. 3 hours which, in fact, is not enough. There are some places that I didn’t visit because it’s almost dark. I promised to myself that I will go there once again….
In the meantime, I can say that it’s a pleasant experience for me indeed! I highly recommend you to visit there someday.
p.s. I : Today, I show you beautiful architectures of the buildings. There are more photos of sculptures in next post….
p.s. II : The ticket for foreigner is 700 Baht, but it's worth for visiting indeed. I highly recommend this place for you!
Greetings @tangmo.
Lovely photographs of so many beautiful buildings.
Sounds like a lovely day out......yes...on a bicycle....would be just the thing....appreciate the picture of it.....sweet.
All the best. ^__^
Cheers.
Oh! I’m really happy to see you, @bleujay, around here with your new account. (Am I right?)
I’m glad you like the buildings. Yeah! It’s a lovely day out indeed, esp. on a bicycle.
I highly appreciate for your great support to my work, as always. Many thanks.
Wishing you and yours all the best! ;)
Thank you for your reply @tangmo.
Apologies....for not signing as bleujay....would not want to cause confusion.
Yes...another account for bleujay's artwork seemed necessary......especially since traditionally artwork is presented through another person rather than the artist themselves....perhaps this idea will work.
Thank you for your kind wishes.
Wishing you all the best. ^__^
Cheers.
It’s okay for me and don’t mention it! I just would like to make sure that is you, @bleujay…. ;))
I absolutely agree with you, “traditionally artwork is presented through another person”, excellent idea indeed!
All the best to you and yours! ;)
p.s. I’m so sorry that I could not upvote your work via your account, @bentleycapital, last time since it’s 7 days already when I visited your blog. I'll not miss your next post, for sure.....

I like that you used a bike too. Such a great way to get around and take pictures, getting on and off and going where you like. Kind of like while riding around looking for shoes or trees ( :
Very smart indeed...double ( :
Have a nice night tonight, I look forward to your next post of sculptures. (Do you know how many Baht in a dollar, or vice versa?)
