today I would like to share with you a wonderful place- the Yucatán peninsula in Mexico.
This beautiful peninsula offers something for everyone – culture, dream beaches, diving, snorkeling and a lot of fun.
My friend and I were in a beautiful hotel resort directly on the beach of the Riveria Maya.
A few days of our holiday were just to relax on the beach with a great all-inclusive program.

The closest city from our hotel was Playa del Carmen, a very lovely city with great restaurants, shopping malls and good party places.

If you like cultural trips, you can see the ruins of the Mayan culture. I saw two of these beautiful places.
The Castillo of Chichén Itza
On a day trip we went to the temple complex in Chichén Itzá and we have learned a lot of this interesting culture and history.
Chichén Itzá is one of the largest Mayan cities and famous for the big pyramid temple built by the Maya civilization in year 440.
In the center of Chichén Itza there is the Castillo, the large step pyramid. It is thirty meters high and has access stairs on all sides.

Another day we went to Tulum, a beautiful mayan ruin at the sea.
This temple complex is located directly on the sea of the Riviera Maya on a cliff and the view is breathtakingly beautiful.
It was inhabited around 1200, and in the 13th and 14th century it was one of the largest towns of the Yucatán peninsula.
Our last trip was a great nature adventure into the jungle to a cenote and to the sea.
A Cenote is a large open water pool measuring fifteens of meters in diameter and there are 2.241 cenotes on the Yucatán peninsula. We swam and snorkeled in a few Cenotes.
After this we went to Akumal where we snorkeled with turtles. It was amazing!
For further trips we had unfortunately no time, but there is still a lot to discover.
Among other interesting Mayan cultural ruins (Cobá, Uxmal, Kabah), great adventure parks integrated in the jungle or water parks directly in the nature and on the beaches of the Riviera Maya (Xcaret Eco theme park, Xel-Há Park).

heute möchte ich Euch ein wunderschönes Reiseziel vorstellen - die Yucatán Halbinsel in Mexiko.
Diese tolle Halbinsel bietet für jeden etwas – Kultur, Traumstrände, Tauchen, Schnorchel und jede Menge Spaß.
Meine Freundin und ich waren in einem tollen Hotel Resort direkt am Traumstrand der Riviera Maya, hier haben wir dann auch mal ein paar Strandtage eingelegt und ein tolles All Inklusive Programm genossen.
Die nächstgelegene schöne Stadt Playa del Carmen lädt zum flanieren, einkaufen und Party machen ein. Es gibt schöne Restaurants, Shoppingcenter und einige Hotspots für lange Nächte.
Für die kulturellen Highlights sorgen die atemberaubenden Hinterlassenschaften der Mayas.
Ich persönlich konnte mich von zwei dieser Wunder überzeugen.
Bei einem Tagesausflug haben meine Freundin und ich die Tempelanlage in Chichén Itzá kennengelernt und haben vieles von dieser interessanten Kultur und Geschichte erfahren.
Diese riesige Tempelanlage, welche eine der bedeutendsten Stätten der Mayas in Yucatan ist, wurde im Jahre 440 gegründet und errichtet.
Im Zentrum von Chichén Itzá befindet sich das Castillo, eine große Stufenpyramide. Sie ist dreißig Meter hoch und hat als Zugang Treppen auf allen Seiten.
An einem anderen Tag im Paradies konnte ich die traumhaft gelegene Ruinenstätte Tulum kennenlernen.
Diese Tempelanlage liegt direkt am Meer der Riviera Maya auf einer Klippe und der Ausblick ist atemberaubend schön.
Besiedelt wurde diese Anlage ungefähr im Jahr 1200, im 13. und 14. Jahrhundert war es eine der größeren Städte der Halbinsel Yucatán.
Bei einem weiteren Ausflug konnte ich bei einem tollen Naturerlebnis dabei sein, auf dieser Tour ging es in den Dschungel zu einer von 2.241 Cenoten und danach zum Schnorcheln mit Schildkröten an den Strand von Akumal. Eine Cenote ist ein natürlicher Pool inmitten der Natur im Dschungel.
Im Dschungel angekommen und von Moskitos gejagt sprang ich sehr gerne bei tropischen Temperaturen ins angenehme Wasser der Cenote und konnte dieses schöne Naturerlebnis genießen.
Danach ging es nach Akumal wo wir mit diesen schönen großen Schildkröten schnorcheln durften. Nach einer kurzen Einweisung, zur Sicherheit der Tiere, ging es los und es ist eine tolle Erfahrung gewesen.
Für weitere Touren hatten wir leider keine Zeit, aber es gibt noch einiges zu entdecken.
Unter anderem weitere interessante Maya Kulturstätten (Cobá,Uxmal, Kabah), tolle Freizeitparks im Dschungel oder Wasserparks direkt in die Natur integriert (Xcaret Eco Theme Park, Xel-Há Park ).
