Hi Steemians

You have seen my boobies! now let me bring you some sea lions!

These super social mammals were one of the many highlights on a recent trip to the Galapagos. We decided rather than going on a cruise, to Air BnB and try and do as much free stuff as possible. We had heard so much about the Sea Lions we asked our host for the best place to see them. Fortunately for us he knew just the place, so we packed our gear and set off!

When we arrived we had the place to ourselves and within seconds of jumping into the water a huge sea lion came straight for us… I’m not going to lie I was a little nervous, however he was just checking us out and making sure we were not a threat - as soon it became apparent that he was protecting his young!

We gave him plenty of space but couldn’t help but go near his pups as they decided we were a lot more fun than Dad! fortunately he let them play with us and we spent the next couple of hours playing with Sea Lion pups 😃

That first shot looks like it's on a tanning bed!

ahahah hes just chillin ;) that was taken on our first day - I was like errrr wtf!!

Great pictures! What did you use to take them underwater?

Thanks mate! I used a Go-Pro Hero 4, had it in video mode and then just pulled a few stills :)

Very nice - BTW, I could've sworn that note wasn't at the bottom of the post before haha!

ahaha no worries, just ignore the fact its in big bold text ;)

what a nice experience! I've swum near sea lions in Lima Perú but the water here is not as as transparent as in galapagos. I am sure Galapagos is the best place to see and enjoy sea life.

Awesome! did you get any pictures? Thanks for comments dude!

I have some pictures but not as good as yours Image of sea lions This pic was taken from the boat. We are swimming (we don't dive) and the sea lions are near. We are not allow to get too close.

Amazing! its really cool being in the water with such incredible creatures! Aye I didn't approach and let them come to me :) Just checked out your blog and it looks like we went to alot of the same places in Peru! dropped a follow!

wow so cool ;) really nice pictures :)

Thanks dude! Cant really go wrong with a go-pro ;)

Looks so amazing <3 Upvoted, great shots! I only have 3 dives under my belt but would love to do more :D

Nice dude!! glad you like it - been saving these pictures for a little bit but got a bit excited and pressed the upload button! Still yet to do my first dive, just snorkeld - but i think im going to need to take my cert soon!!

Hehe I know the feeling - I'm glad you shared them, they're great shots!

Ohhh shit I didn't even realize. My bad. BUT - you'll absolutely love diving. I started with snorkeling for like 3 weeks too with my ex, then she finally sunk me for my first time. And I loved it :D

Definitely get your cert!! I don't have my open water yet but I'd love to get it here in Thailand down on the islands.

Dude i was in Thailand about 4 years ago and didn't do it!! Im such an idiot.... oh well just means another excuse to come back!! :) :)

Haha absolutely! Where were you at in Thailand - I assume in the south on the islands?

Started up in Pai and worked our way south! I really enjoyed the north ;)

Oh shit nice! I still need to check out Pai - I've been to Chiang Rai and up to Laos, but no Pai yet.

The north is quite nice - it's getting into rainy season now, so it's good to be up here vs down south :P

Love it

Thanks mate, just checked out your profile, and see your from India!! Man i really want to visit your country ;) Im thinking when i have saved up a bit that it might be next on my list!! :)

Following you :) yes you are welcome anytime in India. Even I am saving for a trip to France :D

I know right, they are like the stray dogs of The Galapagos. How I wish I could touch them though, lol.
