In my 20 years of life , my love for travelling has given me the opportunity to visit many wonderful places in India , of which I feel some are must to visit for all the keen travellers reading the listicle . Here i have listed those places in brief :
Varanasi:
I was on the solo trip to this holy city and to the honest , the place was beyond my expectations . While the streets are congested with people , the hearts of people there are packed with friendliness and warmth . To all the people who are planning to visit , don’t forget to visit the famous Deepwk Tambul Bandar which is a famous old Betel shop whose pan will simply melt in your mouth . The 88 ghats must not be forgotten. Hire a private boat and ride along the river . I bet it will be most soothing feeling you will ever get in your life. Furthermore , to end the evening with a blast , finish your day with the Sandhya Ganga Aarti in Dasheshwamedh Ghat .
Ooty :
Sitting on the top of nilgiri hills , in the state of Tamil Nadu , is the most underrated hill station of India . Ooty is an old city with a lot of influence of British Culture and Architecture. The horse fields, bakeries, and tea garden will surely give u a feeling of a well spent holiday . The orchards and nurseries are hidden beauty of Ooty .
Cheerapunji:
Far in the North East , in the state of Meghalaya , is the place which receives the highest rainfall in India. I had been to Cheerapunji and found nothing short heaven on Earth because of its misty and wet climates . The hills have become ‘Bald’ thanks to the indiscriminate cold mining in the region . In spite of that , the scenic view in the dense forests on the of Shillong to Cherrapunji will take your breath away .
Puri:
Although its famous place in Eastern India . Puri is not widely known in other parts of India . Puri is coastal town in state of Odisha . It houses one of the most mysterious and ironic temples with a huge footfall every day , the Jagannath temple . The pristine beaches of Puri are a major tourists attraction and the old traditions and customs are portrayed in the city will remind you of ‘ Real ‘ which is untouched by modern society. The local cuisine will surely give run to your taste buds.
Kashmir valley :
Kashmir is the Crown of India and of the most beautiful places one can visit . If you are fond of skiing or want to ride highest Gondola ride of the World , visit Gulmarg . All the Cricket enthusiasts fond of bats, should visit Pahalgam to find numerous 'Bat Factories 'alongside the highway. Moreover do not miss the 'Shikara ride 'which will dip you in the nostalgia of the famous Bollywood song 'Tarif karun kya uski ' in the Dal Lake. You will find armed forces everywhere, but keeping aside the insurgent activities which may give you a feeling of hostility , it is surely a Heaven on Earth .
Udaipur :
The most romantic place i ever visited in India,Udaipur, also known as city of Lakes is one of the most ironic tourist destinations of India .Housing the most prestigious Rajput heritage along with two beautiful lakes , Lake Pichola and Lake Fatehsagar , the city is source of bliss amidst a busy World . From Bandhni and Patola sarees to Rajput cuisines it us a perfect destination for a romantic getaway. The sunset view of Udaipur from Sajjangarh palace will give you a heart warming feeling . I had the opportunity to visit Udaipur and the nearby Kumbalgarh palace with my college friends and enjoyed a lot
