Rumors have been stirring that a new theme park will be announced in the Orlando Area. The most likely candidate seems to be Universal, who owns 500 acres of vacant land in the Orlando Area. A new park for Universal would help them keep their edge in the area and would be a great addition to their new Volcano Bay Water Park.

Dennis Speigel, president of International Theme Park Services Inc., a Cincinnati-based firm that has done work with parks in the U.S., Brazil, Vietnam, the Philippines, Qatar and South Korea, told the Orlando Busines Journal,
"We will see another gate in Florida announced at one of the parks. That doesn’t mean it will open this year, but just an announcement".

We'll keep you posted regarding any official announcements.
