That would be awesome but I reckon it's about 5 hours (one-way) away from where I live. Not sure if I can manage to do that this time. If you ever come back to Europe and go to Vienna, I'll be happy to be your tour guide for a day, though! :-)

Hmmm... 5 hours is a very long way to go for coffee! I told my traveling companions that you are writing the Ultimate Guide to Vienna. They said, "Tell her to get it done by August 4!" They will be in Vienna from the 4th to the 7th, so are excited about having some insider information. :-)

Holy shit, that's like tomorrow o.O I'm not sure if I can do it, but I'll certainly try to)! So to make sure they get at least an outline, here it is:

• Breakfast in a nice coffee house
• Tour through Schönbrunn castle
• Vienna Ring Tram
• Time Travel Vienna
• Take the lift / elevator up St. Stephen's Cathedral's tower to see the Pummerin bell
• Ice-cream at Eisgreissler in Rotenturmstraße
• Walk to Schwedenplatz
• Take the U-Bahn (subway) to Praterstern
• Have a sausage at Bitzinger's sausage stand at the entrance to the Prater
• A ride on the Giant Ferris Wheel
• A nice evening at the amusement park

For a second day:

• Take a Sophort Polaroid tour
• Visit the zoo (or the Haus des Meeres - house of the sea / yes, there are sharks in Vienna's city centre)
• Go to a good (!) Heurigen (wine-tavern that serves local food - it's hard to find the really good, inexpensive, non-touristy ones in Vienna, though)
• Museum of Illusions

You won't have seen everything after one day (like the torture museum, the schnapps museum, the chocolate museum, the museum for abortion and contraception, Schönbrunn's amazing zoo, and many other places but you'll get the gist of what Vienna feels like). If they need any more advice, they can text me on Instagram anytime.

I know they had a great time there. They saw the Prater and rode on horse-drawn carriages. They also saw the Lizzipaner Stallions (although I don't know if I got the word right) and were quite impressed. I'll see if I can get a few of their photos to share. :-) Thanks so much for the itinerary outline. I heard that they had it out as a reference during their trip, even if they didn't quite follow it.
