Heyyy friends ππ»ππ» Happy Thursday!! π
To end off 2017, my hiking crew and I traveled north to Hunter mountain for a snowboarding weekend. On our way back we decided to check out one of our favorite NY State Parks to see what it looked like during the winter.
It was like something out of a fairytale. Everywhere we looked there was fresh untouched snow. And all the water was completely frozen, including the waterfall! It was absolutely magical β¨β¨
About: Minnewaska State Park Preserve is situated on the dramatic Shawangunk Mountain ridge, which rises more than 2,000 feet above sea level and is surrounded by rugged, rocky terrain. The park features numerous waterfalls, three crystalline sky lakes, dense hardwood forests, incising sheer cliffs and ledges opening to beautiful views, clear streams cut into valleys, 35 miles of carriage roads and 50 miles of footpaths!
Thanks for reading!! β¨π

It looks beautiful. Can't wait to go hiking myself this weekend.
It really was :)
That's awesome! Where are you going to hike??
I'm thinking the Angeles Forest over here in southern California. If not there then at the San Bernardino national forest.
Oohhh nice! I've actually been to Angeles Forest, its gorgeous!! Enjoy your hike, whichever you choose β€οΈ
It sure is :). Thank you
Wonderful photo!
Thank you so much πππ»
Awesome doing yoga in the ice , I have to try it.
You should! It gets the blood pumping haha
Hopefully, I get the chance sometime, I live in a place that never snows
Maybe someday you will get a chance ot visit somewhere that does :)
That looks like an excellent place for a hike. Not sure about yoga though... I would prefer Bikram I think... :)
It really was! Definitely one of my favorite local hikes.
Haha Bikram would be nice too, maybe in the summer ;)
What a cool place! How cold it must be that the moving waterfalls actually freeze!
It was frigid! The waterfall wasn't completely frozen, still had a little motion to it which made it even more amazing
