RE: Exploring Colorado: Peace in the San Luis Valley, and Crestone

in #travel6 years ago

Haha I am used to pretentious sensations like that in bigger cities (like think Seattle hahaha) but small Colorado towns, that's a new one for me! I was thinking the whole time that a town full of artists population 150 is bound to have some drama 😂
We adored the rest of our trip and still enjoyed crestone, even though it's one of the weirdest little towns ever. The hot springs and the ashram we enjoyed the most... The people really made it for us. We met so many nice people and had many conversations about off gridding and whether to have kids or not (a group of women tried to convince us that we definitely want children for about 45 minutes straight lol), and just enjoyed our voyeuristic people watching. Haha I didn't mention the awesome Halloween decorations at the yurt or the elderly couple "doing it" in the springs on clothing optional Wednesday (apparently a weekly thing). Just a riot. I say, good for them, I hope I'm still doing it in my 70s! 😂 All in all an awesome trip, glad you enjoyed the post 😁❤️
