Kangchenjunga seen from Tiger Hill, Darjeeling, India
With the advancing of equipment and communications, the death rate on some of the most dangerous mountains in the world is declining.
However, this does not apply in Kangchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world at 8,586 masl.
Kangchenjunga has a mortality rate of around 20 percent, which means one out of every five climbers are killed in their efforts to reach the top.
Kangchenjunga is famous for its unpredictable weather conditions, extremely cold temperatures and high avalanche frequencies.
The alloy of the three makes it one of the hardest and most deadly climbs in the world.
