That’s why there’s one project working diligently to bring unbiased, high-quality travel reviews to the masses. Meet Explorio, the world’s first decentralized travel reviews platform. All content will be stored on a blockchain to ensure the information cannot be censored or tampered with, allowing users to trust that the reviews are legitimate and honest.
Before any content goes live on the platform, it must go through a rigorous peer-review process to ensure it is high quality. Once approved, community members may upvote or downvote the content, depending on how helpful it is.
To incentivize users, everyone that contributes, from the content contributors, to the peer reviewers, to the voters, is rewarded with a cryptocurrency called Explorio Honor tokens (XPLH). The application of blockchain technology to any business/idea is absolutely imperative in my opinion! Travel and vacationing is one of the highest valued industries of them all, so it's definitely a good fit for these technologies!
I agree too, that most reviews on most major sites and provided through most major businesses, are lacking in proper moderation/review and bought reviews and shady reviews are definitely a major issue in these areas. I'd hate to visit somewhere that was ranked 4-5 stars on the reviews.. just to find out it's a trashy, horrible experience. There's definitely potential for a lot of market-grab when it comes to that!

That sounds really exciting. I believe it can change the entire travel industry. There was one time when I traveled and used this “exceptionally good review” hotel. I was soo disappointed with the room which had btw bed bugs. I don’t trust since then any of these reviews.

This seems like a very cool idea...looked over the page, great team, great plan, great look, but when I got to the reviewer's rewards, you get the tokens which you can exchange on their marketplace? So basically that means, keep posting comments about where you been and giving advice and every 6 months you'll get a hat or a plastic bottle. Kinda disappointed there. I wish they would implement steem or some other tokens that actually have some value. Any thoughts @timsaid ?
