We stayed at the Avani Riverside Bangkok the first 3 days and also the last 3 days of our trip. All I can say is the experience was wonderful:
- Extremely polite and helpful staff.
- Breathtaking views from the rooftop pool, bar and restaurant, and also from the rooms (check pics in the hotel website https://www.minorhotels.com/en/avani/riverside-bangkok)
- All rooms include a mobile phone with a local number and internet connection you can use in and out of the hotel, with free phone calls to most countries. Very useful!!
- The hotel has its own pier where you can take a FOC boat every 20 min that leaves you in approx 15 min in one of the main piers along the river, Sathorn pier, where you can connect with ferrys or skytrain.
From the same hotel pier you can also take a boat for a 2 hour dinner cruise along the river. You can do the same trip with the local ferrys for around 35 Baht per person, but we think the night cruise and the dinner, although not cheap (around 100 euros for 2 people with a bottle of wine) is really worth it for the charm.
You can see here some pics of the views from the hotel room and from the river.
