My friend told me this story. He and his girlfriend got in this situation of buying tobacco on the street and got robbed. They could do anything but look down and walk away. That brings up a good point: tourists are often seen as billionaires. Sorry to hear about that though, hope it didn't completely ruin their trip or perception of Egypt.
