T13: Diary of a Vagabond
From Ham to Richmond (Surrey, England), is only 1.5miles along the river Thames.
Within that short distance there can be a surprising amount of visual delights.
A crisp chill in the air...clear blue skies...icy under foot and golden radiant sunshine.
I'd gotten up early as the friend I was staying with had to start work at 6:30am.
It's always an early start when you work with horses.
His cottage is tiny (a glorified shed really), with o young the basics in terms of utilities.
No central heating, but a fired up Log Burner had the small room roasting within 15 minutes.
We'd spent the evening chatting about spiritual enlightenment and the struggle to attain it
in the modern world.
Sleeping bags for beds it was lights out at midnight.
1.Heron - one of the largest birds in England I think
2.Ham House - I hear it is haunted
3.A future Campervan spot - will definitely spend a night or two here
4.Unidentified geese - I'll ask a keen ornithologist friend (had to zoom in to capture the plumage)
5.Turner’s fabled field - to commemorate the painting it is left untouched
6.Bobbing boats - would love to live on water
7.Not Venice - similarly picturesque
8.Xmas Tree on street - Christmas was still days away
9.Cool coffee sign - seems to solve my problems
10.Café Cruising bipedal - never need an excuse to consume
