Hi Everyone,
This is the final part for our visit to the Museum of Islamic Art at Doha but also I saved the best till last. It showcased the things many females love - jewellery! The room was just full of different trinkets and jewellery made from different eras and countries around the world. Don’t believe me? Let’s have a look at all the pretty bling!
Most of these if not all jewellery is hand made. Remember there weren’t machines to make these beautiful pieces, so every single piece was carefully crafted. Take the bracelets as an example, the fine detail was carefully completed for each pieces. Of course it was in a nice shiny gold colour you can tell the material are all of high quality. Remember these pieces could possibly be used by something important or famous in those times. There were so many pieces I will only be able to share a few here.
Check out these boxes. These two below looked like jewellery boxes and then there is a pen box. I don’t think we can see many designs like this even in recent times
We continued on to see a nice top though it was very worn. I don’t remember which country it was for but it was worn by someone important as they used an individual box to showcase it. The top had lots of stains and the material was very worn, it was still showcased right in the middle in one of the exhibition rooms. If you look closely, it even has a rip on the bottom right of the top.

Finally, we finish the museum. There are just too many things to share and take in but I have done my best to show you all what I have enjoyed from the museum. Don’t forget to check out the gift shop on the ground floor to see if you want to buy anything home. They have some pretty cool things which may interest you.
