To travel is all about relaxing and exploring. At least for us @travelingstories. Of course, we love to see all those touristic places (they are touristic for some reason – normally they’re just awesome!), but we also like to let ourselves go and wander around charming cities, outside of the main touristic routes.
Today, on our second post about this fantastic city, we’ll be guiding you through the streets of… Prague!
In our previous post, we left Wenceslas Square behind and followed the streets toward the riverside, so we could admire the famous Dancing House and cross the river. It’s a pretty short walk: it takes about 20 minutes, and on your way you can wonder at the amazing architecture of Prague, especially when you hit the riverside!
At this point, you can understand the important role that the Vltava River plays in the Czech life, particularly in the summer: everybody seems to love using it!
After 5 more minutes, there we were, admiring the most famous modern building of Prague: the Dancing House, a building that seems to be distorted when you look at it. This office building was designed in 1992 by the architects Vlado Milunić and Frank Gehryand. Its construction was completed in 1996.
And no, the phot is not distorted :)
After admiring this unique building, we @travelingstories crossed the river, in order to explore the West bank, much calmer than the Eastern one, where is possible to notice the several constructions made to allow navigation in the river.
Then, we took the next bridge back to the Eastern bank, as the day was rapidly approaching the end and we @travelingstoried decided to move back to the city center, in which we will focus our next post about Prague!
But not before admiring two other icons of this amazing city: the Charles Bridge, whose construction started in 1357; and the Prague Castle, which we will also cover on one of our next posts 😊
Hope you enjoyed this post as much as we enjoyed being in Prague, that you upvote it, resteem it and… Come back for more traveling stories! 😊
