Venice is so beautiful in so any different ways
let’s start off with alittle bit of a flustered start shall we !? I got my interrail pass to the wrong station ... I got the one out of the main City so had to walk over the big bridge to get into the City where I saw the other train station !! But oh well all part of the adventure ! But a man saw me struggling with my case and pestered me into letting him carry it across the bridge I told him I had no money and I wasn’t given him any but he wouldn’t let go of my case ! Got to the other end and put his hand out for money - I was getting scared at this point so found a euro and he wasn’t best pleased but I did tell him I had none - you’ve been warned !!!!! Just be careful and I had said no lots of times :(
Oh and it doesn’t smell that bad !!! Just saying ..!
I headed to my hostel to dropped my bags off along the canals - you can get pretty lost as all the little streets look the same !! But I’m telling you now you’ll never get another city like Venice !!
The markets are full of masks 🎭 and touristy ‘crap’ and every corner I turned was another brightly coloured stall .. I was just in ore of everything it was beautiful
My hostel was pretty basic but also had some stunning features
Anyway heading back into the little mini streets of Venice .. the main square is called St Paul’s Square and you can’t get anymore beautiful, absolutely loved it - beautiful views , buildings and singers in the stunning sun of August .. I felt like I was in a dream ! Let me show you some pictures not that you can soak up the atmostphere through a picture .. I say just go !!
You can go up the top of this building^
They really is no other feeling to describe it - it’s just beautiful I sat watching the boats and Gondolas for ages ... so it’s like 80 euros a ride !! Wonderful experience I’m sure but alone in the city of love - no thanks !!! But water taxis are cheap and you can get on one of those and do a little trip round the island
the famous hands holding up the building
This is 1 of the famous bridges in Venice .. it’s full of shops ( leather mainly) and it’s called ... Rialto
I also was sitting eating dinner whilst I took this picture - munching on some of the best calamari I’ve even eaten ... food in Italy is just divine !!
And this is another famous bridge called Bridge Of Signs and if you ever visit Cambridge And go down to the punting rivers - you’ll see a copy of it !!
Venice is a stunning city - very unique and Id definitely recommend it ... il leave you with some pictures of the cute canals
And il see you in FLORENCE
And a stunning photo of an evening in Venice
Thanku for reading :)

I still haven't been to Venice yet as I hear it's way over touristy nowadays, not really my cup of tea. However, it doesn't seem that bad from your photos. When did you go?

Hello Kate! Wonderful stunning photos you have in Venice. I've got to be honest with you. Venice is one of those places that are in my bucket list for a long while. I just need to apply and get qualified for a Schengen Visa though. But as a Filipino, it's kinda tough and may cost a lot. It's my dream to experience riding a boat in the Venice canal. Will follow more of your travel stories! Cheers!
No worries - italy is a beautiful beautiful country ! Hope u get to go one day :)
Yes I will be, and I always believe in the law of attraction. Just be extra careful of the virus though. Some cities and towns in Italy are in lockdown due to numerous cases. God bless you Kate!
