A beautiful beach with a great underwater world on the island of Koh Phangan, in Thailand - Travel with Salima & Timo

in #travel7 years ago (edited)

we are on Koh Phangan, the island in Thailand. Frankly, longer than planned in the first week. On the island we have covered a total of over 2,000km with the scooter. And that although the island has only 18km diameter.

We have explored every corner on this beautiful island. We especially enjoyed the beaches and the paths through the palm trees.

One of the most beautiful beaches and where there is much underwater to see is the Koh Ma Beach. The special thing about this beach is that there is a small island, which can only be reached with a sandbank at certain times of the day. During the other time, you run deep water down to the other side.

If you arrive the way we get there early in the morning, the whole beach is for you alone. The small island is completely uninhabited and you feel like Robinson.

The underwater world is worth a detour. Many different fish are waiting for you and the water is very nice clear. If you are lucky, dive under you there dive divers and the whole air bubbles the ascend the water around around in a jacuzzi.

We were early in the morning wading through the water and then at noon the sandbank was free and the bridge to the island was free for everyone.

Also to discover is the island perfect. There are some abandoned bungalows there. Timo had almost run out on the discovery of the jungle because the jungle above the island is very dense and there are no longer any paths. For him a very exciting experience. I was worried, though. Thank God everything went well.

We were again in August again 2 days when our parents visited us in Koh Samui and the sandbank was completely released during the whole day. The sand was much higher piled up and it looks as if the tides change it from month to month. A lot of rubbish was washed, which was not the case before. The whole beach had changed. We can therefore highly recommend the travel time in February and March.
