The Random Tea Room
713 N 4th St
Philadelphia, PA 19123
In early April, we got the chance to visit a peaceful little tea shop for international teas, herbal infusions and tasty little bites.
Highlights
Fast Service - Being such a small venue, the store can quickly get crowded. However, this is not a problem for the champion mixologists who have their tea making craft down to a times science! The brew master employs various tools in her art including hour glasses, different steeping tools and a kettle designed to heat water to specific temperatures.
Live Performances - While I was visiting the store, there were no live performances. I could only imagine how packed the space would be when they actually have one. But live performances are a much welcomed site in our age of editing and technology. Being in such intimate quarters with the artist must be breathe taking.
Great Tea Selections - Before this trip, I had only ever been in 1 specialized tea shop before. This was the commercial tea shop called Teavana. While their shops are modern and the tea is tasty, The Random Tea Room has such a diverse and delicious selection of international teas. The store also offers coffee, organic/vegan options as well as delicious deserts.
From the moment you set foot in the door, the cozy and welcoming atmosphere in the store draws you in. The aroma of freshly brewed tea fills the air. Various art work, trinkets and games line the walls and tables. This show is certainly a must see if you are ever in the Philadelphia area and are looking for a great cup of #tea!
