Day 2 of our Coron Adventure, we woke up early in the morning before sunrise and we went to the fish port going to Calauit, part of Calamian Islands. We set sail 5 in the morning and we ate our breakfast in the boat. We had "Hotsilog" Hotdog, Sinangag (fried rice) and Itlog (egg) and "Longsilog" Longganisa (Sweet Pork Sausage), Sinangag (fried rice) and Itlog (egg) :D We need to leave early because we have some activities lined up that day and it is 1 hour and a half sail going to the island of Calauit.

going back to the city proper
It has been a great experience going to a remote zoo like Calauit Safari Park. According to the tour guide, the island way back world war II has been a sanctuary for those people with leprosy. The government is putting all of those who have leprosy in the island so that the disease will be contained, but after that, it became a game reserve and a safari sanctuary for African animals.
My best and fascinating experience for us two is that we can feed the giraffes that are very friendly to those who visit them. Being close to nature and animals is a fulfilling moment for me that I always cherish the most.
When you visit CORON don't forget to include CALAUIT SAFARI PARK into your itinerary. It is a must see!
Until my next post on my Coron adventure.
