Bali - a fantastically nice island

I have spent 3 weeks of the German wintertime on Bali to escape from the icy temperatures. I must say I have managed this very well - have flown off in Germany still with long clothes and hardly in Denpasar on Bali come from the warmth kill.
Still in the airport I have gone on the toilet to change my clothes fast.
I was surprised very positively, because the airport is more modern around something than in our own capital Berlin- Actually, a joke if one compares the economic circumstances of both countries with each other, or?

My first impression

As already mentioned, I was surprised by the airport very much.
Immediately on the first day it went on discovery tour. Nevertheless, the very warm temperatures in connection with the high air humidity foiled me. I had to fight the first days really with my circulation, but if one drinks enough, and there I talk from 3 litres on the day, one gets used fast to it.

The civilisation on Bali is scattered very much - there are many small villages, sometimes even single houses in the street edge and a little big towns. Nevertheless, the inhabitants there are very friendly and openly towards tourist.

In wonderful shape and very much is coined the vegetation - everywhere where one looks it is green - beyond the towns mostly wet rice fields or thick rain forests and in the towns big palms and small parks.

Beyond the towns or near the Monkeyforest in Ubud it can already be that to you the one or other monkey pinches your banana - in general the monkeys are very reserved there and are not aggressive.
My experience with monkeys:
When I sat on a bank and to me suddenly on my lap two monkeys performed society! They looked at me confused, noticed that I had nothing what they could use, one moved briefly in my hair and disappeared.

The beaches are unbelievable - the sand is softy under your feet and the water clean.
Care: There can be some jellyfishes, the touches burn very much. However, they are not really dangerous!

Just on the beach and in the towns there are some straying dogs who look desperately for food. One should keep away from them, because one never knows which illnesses they could transfer.

How you notice, I am impressed by the nature on Bali very positively. Another advantage, just for young people is that Bali is very favorable. The rents as well as the life maintenance and the leisure activities are very inexpensive - expensive is only the flight.

The shadow sides

Bali has no uniform waste disposal system - the garbage often lies about thus on the streets.
The garbage and the straying dogs provide for stench at some places.
However, about that one must simply see away and dedicate himself to the wonderful nature.

Care: Buys no food on the street - tries to find a supermarket.

My tips

Rent a scooter - the costs amount thus about the 5€ per day - and you see Bali from quite an other point of view.

Eat bananas - they are harvested directly there and have quite an other taste than customary in the supermarket.

My favorite court: Fried Rice - If you agree from 1€. Absolutely tasty and healthy on top of that!
