Vietnam I feel is often overlooked as an ideal travel destination within Asia ( for western people ) , more often than not most people prefer to visit Japan, Korea, Thailand etc but it shouldn't be this way, Vietnam is a wonderful and beautiful place with a vast landscape of mountains , white sandy beaches and incredible buddhist temples. The people here are very friendly and always ready to give a smile, invite You to a drink, or help You out. The food is unique and wonderful, I particularly love the dish " Pho Tai Nam" ( not the exact Vietnamese spelling ) This is esentially rice noodles , beef brisket, and green onion...But what makes this dish is the broth, You can always judge a good Pho by the broth quality. It takes atleast 16 hours to make the broth and many herbs go into it, and is made fresh everyday. This is truly the essence of the Pho. I love Pho. You will too, I promise! Anyway I've been living in Vietnam for about a year working as a photographer, and I love it. There is so much here I can't even put it all in one post, or even 100. This country is that special. I'm serious, come to Vietnam. There are more citys than Hanoi and Saigon too, don't even bother with those. My favorite city by far is Da Lat. This city has come to be known as the flower city and is situated up high in the mountains in the middle of Vietnam. This place is truly a sight to behold. Here is some of My Vietnam.
