Beach of Silistar is located 5 km south of village of Sinemorets, in intersection on the road to Rezovo village. The area is very close to border with Turkey. Silistar beach is reached by 1 km dirty road through the forest.
Silistar bay is incredibly beautiful. The sea here is quiet, the bottom is sloping, and the sea water - crystal and clear. The beach is around 1km long and 50 meters wide. The sand is fine and golden.
There is a small restaurant at one of the end of the beach.
The beach Silistar is also known by the name "The beach of pirates". It is assumed that in the ancient times this and neighboring gulf (Listi beach) were base of robbers (pirates) and the name Silistar comes from the Greek word "syunlistareo" - "location adjacent to robbers".
Silistar was declared a protected area in 1992 by the Ministry of Environment of Bulgaria. At dunes and cliffs around nesting rare and endangered birds: golden eagle, golden eagle, black stork, dove and others, many of which are included in the Red Book.

Nice posts, but you need to grow your followers. It is a pity to see so few views and comments (the upvotes will come slowly-slowly). I'll follow for a while, just in case it helps.
