Hey @pamcooks 🙋

Yeah, I know the UK has amazing farmer's markets - I watched Jamie Oliver shop there for years 😜

Absolutely, no comparison between the fresh food you buy at farmer's markets and all that food-imitation from the supermarkets... you would love it here.

That last pic is a very popular street food here and you can buy it in lots of places, especially at farmer's markets.
It's called "burek whit cheese", but there are all kinds of other fillings, like minced meat, spinach, mushrooms, potato, and sweet ones too filled whit grated apples. Yum 😋

Hi @veznapv,

Oh Jamie Oliver is fab.He endorses alot of farmer markets.Honestly they are amazing showcasing the very best of whats available with out the cellaphane plastic wraps.lol

It' s amazing that all over the world in different countries we have such similar events and foods.I love seeing different cultures and traditions.

Thanks for such an insightful post.x

Oh, the people at Bosna and Hercegovina (we share a border) would be all over me if I didn't correct the eternal food quarrel... so here it goes.

"Burek" is originally Bosnian food and it's very important for them to make one thing clear:
the only one that is named "burek" is the one filled with meat.
Any other filling, they refer to as "pita".
In Croatia though, we call them "burek with this" (name the filling).
They all keep telling us we're wrong...

OK, I think I'm safe now LOL

Wouldn't want to be responsible for publically spreading misinformation hahaha
