Hello Steemit!
Returning home from the colored mountains, Kyzyl-Chin, I decided to stop for the night in the village of Chemal, so that the next day I would go to the famous Karakol lakes, since last time I had not been there before.
He spent the night at the local comfortable recreation center "Family Idyll" and went to the road in the morning. There are three options: you can go to GAZ-66 30 kilometers off-road, then the remaining 8 kilometers to walk; In the second variant they suggest driving 8 kilometers on horseback; And the third option is the easiest - to get to the lakes on a specially prepared UAZ. I chose the third option, because it is faster (the first part of the road was passed in 2.5 hours, the second in 1.5).
Along the way, we crossed the river for 7 times, besides this road itself looks awesome, solid mud, rocks, tree roots, logs, extreme climbs and descents. The driver persuaded the car to overcome difficult sections of the road in a literal sense, but the passengers were not to laugh. The car was very heavily rocked and thrown in different directions, so people with bad vestibular apparatus should choose a different way.
After 4 hours of shaking we arrived in place. There are seven lakes in total. We visited only the 5 most beautiful of them. The walk began with the fifth lake, the water in it is blue and transparent, the reservoir looks deep. Through the water you can see a stony bottom. On the shore of this lake there is a recreation center "Altai Voyage", here you can stop to spend more time on the lakes.
The longest way from 5 to 4 lakes, you need to have good shoes with a solid sole, as the trails between the lakes consist of stones and tree roots that have reached impressive sizes. Also there are brooks flowing into ponds.
Here such an improvised bathhouse met along the way, made by tourists staying for the night in tents.
The next two lakes are approximately the same in size and color of water. The water in them is clean, but not as blue as in the 5th. All the lakes are located in the gorge and they are surrounded by majestic boulders of indescribable beauty.
But most of all I was impressed by the beauty of the 2nd lake with turquoise water. On the shore of this stunning lake there is snow in places, on which many people are interested to be photographed.
Admiring the nature of the second lake, I went to the first.
On the way I saw a waterfall flowing from the first lake. Also on the road there were large stones covered with spots of green moss, it looks unusual. Along the waterfall lies a path leading to the first lake.
The first lake turned out to be beautiful, but much smaller than the others. Since the first lake is located higher than the previous one, a stunning view of the terrain opens from the top, and the second, third and fourth lakes are visible.
The trip was quite difficult, returning back to the beginning of the route no longer had the strength to walk to the 6th and 7th lake. According to local residents there is no fish in the lakes. The trek time was about four hours, and then we had the opposite exhausting road, but from the impressions received, the path no longer seemed so difficult. I really liked the Karakol lakes, the day passed quickly. I recommend that you visit this place, but it is important that the weather is sunny to view the nature in full beauty.
Thank you for attention!
