Recently I went on a trip to Key West, Florida. Key West is the southernmost point in the continental United States. It's actually one of the few places in the country to have a purely tropical climate where it is eternal summer.
While Key West is a pretty small island there is quite a bit to see there. One site I particularly enjoyed was the Truman Little White House.
Truman Little White House
The Truman Little White House is where President Harry Tuman vacationed during the winter months. He did not merely vacation here he actually worked here too. Many important historical events happened in this building and other Presidents have spent time here including Dwight Eisenhower and Bill Clinton

The yard of the Little White House. Fun fact this home used to be beach front property but extra land was added to the premises.
Another place to visit is Smothers Beach in Key West
The beach is very beautiful although the only drawback is the excessive amount of seaweed makes swimming undesirable. Still it's a nice place to relax.
Another historic site I went to was the Hemmingway home where Ernest Hemmingway lived. One thing the house is famous for is its six-toed cats which are direct descendants of Ernest Hemingway's cats which is quite a way to leave a legacy in addition to one's writing.
I went to a lovely resturaunt in Key West called Santiago's Bodega. The food there was quite good and the atmosphere was nice too.
Key West has some nice arcitecture too. I like places with class architecture. Personally I feel that classic archiotecture has more style and life to it generally.
The Southernmost Point
Overall I had a great time in Key West and hope to visit again soon!
Happy travels everyone!!!
