Hi guys!
Today I went with a friend to have a swim in the freezing cold river! we do it throughout the year and normally our town celebrates the new year by doing a New Year’s Day swim but the river was so flooded this year that we couldn’t do it. It’s such a good way to start the year I was so sad we couldn’t do it! So when the weather was ok we went in finally today! There was ice on the ground and it was 5 degrees in the water, we stayed in for 4 minutes and it was absolutely freezing!! The feeling after was so so good though! It’s bittersweet this week as our eldest goes back to school and it’s been so nice to have him to ourselves, but it also does mean we will get time to do some more work and I’ll be able to go back to the gym regularly which I’ve been really loving. We’re expecting to get lots of snow tonight so fingers crossed! The skies at night have been so clear recently and watching the stars is so special. What are you looking forward to this year?

I struggle so much getting into cold water. It's weird because I run so much hotter than my partner, but she's able to get into cold water so much easier than me. I have to psych myself up so much.
Thank you! It’s definitely not easy! It was so so cold but the feeling after it is so worth it! I’ve definitely got the cold water bug now! I’d love to do it in like Iceland or somewhere!
Oh wow! I actually rewatched the Eurovision Song Contest movie with Will Farrell last night and the scenes of Iceland were just so pretty (and looked so cold).
Oh yeah I love that film haha it’s so funny. I definitely think I could live in Iceland or somewhere I love the snow!
It's very good to shower little in the cold river. But it is very risky in smog day. Good day spending with children
