안녕하세요! What’s the first thing when we mentioned Korea? Most of the people will answer Seoul. But for me, is Jeju Island(제주도). Jeju Island is Korea’s largest island, has long been the country’s favourite domestic holiday destination thanks to its beautiful beaches, lush countryside and seaside hotels designed for rest and relaxation.
This is the Best of Jeju Island, Korea.
1.)성산 일출봉(Seongsan Ilchulbong)
Seongsan Ilchulbong, also called ‘Sunrise Peak’, is an archetypal tuff cone formed by hydrovolcanic eruptions upon a shallow seabed about 5 thousand years ago. Situated on the eastern seaboard of Jeju Island and said to resemble a gigantic ancient castle, this tuff cone is 182 meters high, has a preserved bowl-like crater and also displays diverse inner structures resulting from the sea cliff.
2.)섭지코지(Seopjikoji)
Seopjikoji is located at the end of the eastern shore of Jeju Island. "Seopji" is the old name for the area, and "Koji" is Jeju dialect meaning a sudden bump on land. On Koji hill which is wide and flat, there stands a stone Bongsudae called “Hyeopjayeondae” with a 4m height and 9m length and width that has retained its original form.
3.)우도(Udo)
Literally "Cow Island" in Chinese, has this name because it looks like a cow lying down. The whole of Udo is a lava plateau and a fertile flatland where major agricultural products such as sweet potatoes, garlic, and peanuts are produced. There is a parasitic cone, called shoi meori oreum,in the southeast.
4.)Teddy Bear Museum
Teddy Bear Museum on Jeju Island is the biggest teddy bear theme museum in the world. If you like teddy bear, be sure to check out this place. Other that teddy bear, they also sell shirt and stationary.
5.)천제연폭포 (Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls)
Cheonjeyeon Waterfall is a three-tier waterfall located on Jeju Island. Cold water flows out of the ceiling of a cave to make the waterfall. Between the precipice of the waterfall and the lower clay layer, water springs out.
6.)여미지 식물원(Yeomiji Botanical Garden)
Yeomiji Botanical Garden is the largest botanical garden in Asia. There is butterfly garden, aquatic botanical garden, ecological park, tropical fruit garden, observation station and etc.
7.)한라수목원(Halla Arboretum)
Contain 909 different types of autotrophic and subtropical plants in Jeju Island, not to mention also including 2722 protected plants that are endangered.
8.)용두암(Yongduam Rock [Dragon Head Rock])
Located to the north of Jeju City. However, there are plenty of other stories of how it came to be. The first one is about a dragon stealing precious jade from Mt. Halla was shot down by an arrow from the mountain deity. When he fell down on Yongduam, his body immediately sank into the ocean and his head rapidly froze looking at the sky. Another is about a white horse, who dreamed of being a dragon and ascending to the sky, came to be caught by a soldier and froze into the rock.
9.)제주특별자치도민속자연사박물관 (Jeju Folklore and Natural History Museum)
Jeju Folklore & Natural History Museum currently has on exhibition folklore remains and natural historical materials of Jeju-do. The museum is divided into four exhibition halls: the Natural History Hall, the Folklore Exhibition Hall, the Folklore Exhibition Hall, and the Outdoor Exhibition.

You won't regret.. It's one of the best place to travel.
Great post! Did you got to Hallim Park as well?
I did a trip on Jeju 1 month ago, unfortunately only 3 days. It's a very underrated island in my opinion!
Unfortunately no due to tight schedule. Anything interesting at the park? Might visit there again in the future.
