Stirling, concretamente el camino de subida de una colina donde se levanta el merecidísimo monumento a William Wallace. Allí encontré una talla de una de las profesiones más importantes en tiempos de guerra, la del herrero.
En una época donde no existían las armas de fuego, donde las batallas se libraban cara a cara, la calidad de tu espada hacía mucho, muchísimo, de ahí a la importación de esa persona que tenía que forjarla para que no se rompiera en el primer envite.
En medio de bosque, en un camino de subida rodeado de enormes árboles, allí estaba está talla a tamaño real de un escocés cualquiera, un herrero que lo mismo podía forjar la espada de un mismísimo rey, o la de un soldado raso. Preciosa de cualquier modo.
