I have been there! I was in Xi'an two years ago, in the summer, when it was 38-40 degrees outside! I also visited several other places, like the Muslim Quarter and of course the Terracotta Soldiers.

Sounds like you had a terrific time wheatdogg, but then again, i'm not surprised as Xi'an is an absolute gem.
