When the fights of gladiators lost their entertainment and in the 5th century the Roman Empire began to collapse, the Colosseum ceased to be a place for large social events. Moreover, earthquakes, lightning strikes and other natural phenomena significantly influenced to the structure.
Only in the 18th century the Catholic Church and many priests decided that the place of construction of the Colosseum should be preserved.

yes, the colosseum is a big memory from the past empire
If the Colloseum have been like this since it was made in the Gladiator film there was a terrible mistake with the arena because I see there is a structure built but in the film not
