Last weekend, I had a chance to attend my friend's weeding in Subang, a district in Selangor, Malaysia. The groom, a hardworking and cheerful man named KD Van Hallen or also known as Kadok, and I used to study in the same school.
Most of the weddings reception I went to, the decoration were usually done by wedding planner and cost a lot of money. But, this time was different. The couple used the furniture, flowers and other related things which exist around their house and only spent around RM200, or approximately $60 for additional things such as bridal dais and wood pallet. Terrific idea!
They only invited 300 family and close friends. One of the guests is Chef Wan, which is a famous chef in Malaysia. No wonder the food were delicious until I forgot to capture the picture of these beautiful foods.
The event was very well organised by the family. And the local DJ did a great job on entertaining the guests, never get tired with talking, singing and teasing everyone for 5 hours.
The tents with arabic concept.
The guests were busy catching up with their old friends, and oh, there's chef one with grey hair with his family.
The guests were busy checking out their goodies.
All in all, the event was great, with people smiling and laughing, and the feeling of satisfaction. Oh yes, if you want to eat traditional foods in Malaysia, try to attend the people's wedding, they usually delicious. The foods are different, depending on the location of the wedding.
