I went to India many years ago now, and it really changed my view on happiness and possession.
I visited palaces, temples, the Taj Mahal but this photo represents my best memory of the whole trip.
We visited a small traditional village, which shows the way most people in India still live. While to many Westerners you might consider people who live like this poor, and have a worse life than many people we know.
However what I saw really changed my views on this. All the children and most people in the village and had the biggest smiles on their faces. They were truly happy with what they had. This is something that you see a lot less back home, where people always feel like the constantly need bigger and better things to fill a hole in their lives.
Don't get me wrong, I feel truly blessed with the life I've been given, but it makes you wonder sometimes.. who has it right ?
