You're welcome. No I haven't taught in years. I conservatively live off investment and money saved when I had a business in Korea and sold my house in FL.
The only place worth teaching on the planet is South Korea in my opinion. They pay well. They're crazy about learning English (high demand). Fairly low cost of living for a modern place so you can save and invest.
I've met people teaching in South America. One terrible story after another. They all complain that they work all month for like 400 dollars, hate their job live terribly and feel trapped.
In Korea you can get private lessons that pay $40-60 an hour. That's where the money's at. Are you thinking of teaching English? What are you basing you Europe or Asia decision on. How long of a trip will you be taking?
No way I didn't know that they paid so well in South Korea. I never really thought about teaching to be honest. I just finished my undergrad studying Law and political science and sociology. My plan was to be a lawyer but Im not sure thats who I am or want to be. But definitely worth looking into teaching if i could travel, that would be amazing.
There is so many places to see, honestly i don't even know know where to start when it comes to Europe. I was thinking about perhaps doing a Contiki tour where you go around multiple countries. I would love to travel as long as i can but need to earn some money on the side if i can, that would be a plus!
