Hey there my Steemit friends! Arequipa, specifically around the historic district was probably my favorite place in the entire country of Peru. Between the awesome old world market, the historic, clean, and safe streets, the pleasant year round weather, a seemingly healthy economy, and great restaurants all around....I was really impressed!
I've been traveling for over 11 years. Sometimes I just hang out in one location and call it home for a few months, as you simply can't travel three days here, five days there, month after month, year after year or you'll go crazy. So when I am traveling kind of fast through a part of the world I'm always analyzing places and thinking if this would be a good retirement destination, or at least a good place to hang out for a while and call home for part of the year.
Well Arequipa certainly makes the list. I would totally come back here. Get myself an apartment for two hundred and fifty dollars a month and just hang out for a while. One could live very well here on less than six hundred dollars a month, that is for sure. Arequipa certainly will be a Travel Pro Destination to return to down the road when I'm looking to just hang loose for a while.
Moreover the old world market and variety of meat and produce is very impressive. I would really enjoy shopping there and making my own creations for very little money. Peru is a great pay less get more country in every way and that too makes this country an excellent part of the world to hunker down for a while and let your budget recover. Enough about that.....Now let's have a look around this place, let's go!
